Chalmers University is hosting the 26th IAVSD Symposium on Dynamics of Vehicles on Roads and Tracks (IAVSD2019) in Gothenburg, Sweden, 12–16 August 2019.
On behalf of the International Association of Vehicle System Dynamics (IAVSD), the International Scientific Committee and the Local Organizing Committee, we are delighted to announce that we are now accepting extended abstracts for IAVSD2019. The extended deadline for abstract submission is 15 January 2019.
The venue of IAVSD2019 will be the Lindholmen Conference Centre which is situated at the Lindholmen Science Park. The area offers a stimulating environment with a waterfront setting for inspirational meetings.
The conference centre’s central location in Gothenburg means that it is only a 6 minutes bus ride from the central station, 25 minutes from Landvetter airport and in 4 minutes the Älvsnabben ferry takes you over the river into the city centre.
Prospective authors should submit an extended abstract (2 – 3 pages) by following the instructions.
The extended abstracts will be reviewed by the members of the International Scientific Committee. Authors will be notified by 8 March 2019 whether their paper is accepted for oral presentation or as a poster (including a three-minute presentation). Acceptance of your submission is made with the understanding that at least one author will attend the conference to present the paper.
Authors of accepted extended abstracts should provide the full text (4-8 pages) of their paper prior to the symposium. Detailed instructions is found under “Author Instructions”. Accepted papers will be distributed in the conference proceedings and will be made freely available to all registered authors.
After the symposium, all accepted papers will be subjected to an editorial review for inclusion in the official conference proceedings. The proceedings will subsequently be published in the Lecture Notes in Mobility (Springer) book series. This way the conference proceedings documents the progress in the state-of-the-art in the dynamics of road and rail vehicles and can be widely referenced across the industry and internationally.
There are also several sponsorship and exhibition opportunities available to your company. There are packages available that include exhibition stand areas and display facilities with the advantage of being able to speak directly with our delegates and your potential customers and clients.
On behalf of the International Scientific Committee and the Local Organizing Committee, we are looking forward to welcoming you to Gothenburg in August next year.
